Melanie and Matt arrived at our photo shoot glowing; touched by the Arizona sun. They almost looked out of place standing in the dreary, mid-winter of Pennsylvania. They radiated energy, which could be from their perfect vitamin D levels, or because of their constant “runner’s high.” While Melanie, a former gymnast, works as an engineer for Turner Construction Company in sunny Scottsdale, AZ, her man, a professional track athlete, trains for the Summer 2012 Olympics.

Matt previously ran track at Penn State University, which is where he coincidently met Melanie. To be more specific, they met at a Halloween party, while Melanie was a junior in high school and Matt was a freshman in college. Matt was dressed up as Richard Simmons and Melanie was wearing an 80s style outfit. Even then, they were a perfect match.

They will be getting married in September in State College, Pennsylvania, the place where their love story began. I can’t wait to be a part of their wedding day, because if it was anything like their engagement session, it will be charming, relaxed, and oh so much fun!
